Company Review: National Plant & Equipment

national-plantWith a founder now part of the top 10 richest Australians under the age of 40, National Plant is an Australian-based success story.

Of course, regardless of the current success, National Plant – like most businesses – emerged from humble beginnings back in 1997. Over the past 16 years, the company has grown from strength to strength thanks to embracing and providing services the booming mining industry within Australia.

The beginnings

National Plant was founded by Mark Ackroyd (who is now worth $280 million) and serves as a heavy machinery and earthmoving equipment rental and sales services, with a large focus on providing such vehicles and products to those involved in the mining industry.

Combined with his team, Ackroyd and company share many years of experience working within the heavy machinery and earthmoving rental/sales industry. National Plant works on the principle that the key to success is catering to clients’ needs and combining that with service dedication and the pursuit of client satisfaction.

These days

Now into its 16th year, the company offers a wide range of products for both rent and sale, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Attachments

  • Compactors

  • Dozers

  • Dump trucks

  • Excavators

  • Forklifts

  • Graders

  • Loaders

  • Service trucks

  • Tyre handlers

  • Water trucks

The demands of the mining industry

Services such as those that National Plant provide are very important to the mining industry, given how demanding the industry itself is. With promises of further investment into the mining sector by the LNP, more rental and sales services could likely be necessary.

Along with the proper machinery, the comfort of miners is also paramount. The blistering heat that is a common factor within mining areas can present a wealth of health risks, which makes it important that heavy machinery and earthmoving equipment be equipped with the appropriate air conditioning or cooling systems. Here at Brisk Air, we offer a wide range of air conditioning systems to encourage a comfortable and healthy work environment for those controlling heavy machinery in the mines.
